top 2022 home projects

Today, we’re reflecting on the year 2022 and some of the projects we’ve completed that left a memorable mark. All of the homes we’ve touched are special to us in some way, but in 2022 there were so many projects completed that we couldn’t possibly list them all here today! Whether it’s a full home remodel, custom kitchen selections, a personalized full service project, or a one room refresh every project has been so fulfilling to see come to fruition for the families who now enjoy their newly curated spaces daily.

top 2022 home projects:

#1: Classic Historic Home
This home went through a major renovation with our partners at Tingen Remodeling in Raleigh, NC. We worked on this project for over a year from selections, through construction, to completion, and all the way through to full furnishings. Although this home was built in the 80’s the architectural detail has certain quirks that lend itself to have a more historic feel throughout the house, hence the name of the project! Our team assisted the client with selections for 2 bathroom renovations, a laundry room, and a full kitchen remodel. Check out the behind the scenes video for the kitchen here.

#2: Coastal Primary Bedroom
This project showcases the power of styling, and the true impact it can have on a space. These particular clients requested that we keep their existing bed and nightstands, but everything else could be changed! We updated their existing bedding, added functional styling to their nightstands, hung custom art and a mirror on the walls, and added some additional furniture pieces scaled appropriately for the space to create a complete transformation! You don’t have to go overboard with your styling or lean into the theme too hard, keeping things subtle and taking things away often does the trick for your space to feel just right. We added a really cool detail to the ceiling that you won’t want to miss! View the behind the scenes video for the coastal primary bedroom here.

#3: Farmhouse Project
This project is near and dear to me, because it’s for some really great friends just up the street from us! This was a really special project to work on, not only because they are friends of ours but also because we have the same exact first floor floor plan! We got creative with this one and made sure we thought about how their family lives in it from day to day. We transformed their foyer, home office, family room, dining nook, and kitchen spaces. These clients requested that we keep their existing counter stools and sofas in the family room, but everything else was ready for a refresh! This family’s home already had such a farmhouse vibe, that we wanted to play into while also modernizing it just a bit with feature lighting, additional furniture pieces, and our signature styling (of course)! Check out the behind the scenes part 1 video for this farmhouse-style home here.

#4: NC Beach House
This project is awesome because we were able to update a builder basic spec home in simple ways to feel completely custom. A lot of homes nowadays are spec homes that leave most buyers wanting more, but doing simple things to upgrade your space and customize it to your family is what makes all the difference! This home is located on the coast of North Carolina. The clients and our team knew we wanted to incorporate the coastal vibe in a way that wasn’t “theme-y” or cheesy. Our team was brought in to update the entire home, but we started with the foyer, kitchen, dining nook, and family room. View the behind the scenes part 1 video for this coastal home here.

#5 Neutral Living
Our client had one wish for their new space and it was to keep it neutral, but beautiful! Thankfully, they came to the right place! Although the spaces were to be neutral, we still wanted it to feel cozy so we carefully blended warm and cool neutral tones so things didn’t feel sterile. We focused on the family room and kitchen spaces. This family has 3 little ones so we knew right off the bat durability had to be top of mind even though we were using lighter color upholstery fabrics and finishes throughout the space. We came into a home that was already beautiful, and brightened it up with fresh paint, a new backsplash and countertops in the kitchen, and updated lighting and furnishings. This project is a perfect example of how simplifying and pairing back design is often the right answer when it comes to achieving a certain calming feel in a space. Check out the behind the scenes video for this neutral home here. (Count how many times I say the word incorporated in this one)

Thank you for taking the time to review some of our top 2022 projects with us. We’re looking forward to the projects we’ll be creating in the new year ahead!
